Online Therapy for Anxiety & Depression

In NYC, all of New York, and California

Most people who look at you might never know how much you are struggling. Your pattern of holding it all in, staying busy, or pulling away from others has worked well enough to get you through… till now.

Now, it feels more like you’re caught in an endless maze of thoughts and worries, or like there’s a weighted blanket dragging you down. When anxiety or depression are present, everything in life can feel more difficult.

It’s time to stop the spiral of overwhelm.

  • Have a constant runaway train of thoughts in your head.

  • Are second-guessing decisions or struggling to trust yourself.

  • Constantly worry about what other people think about you.

  • Feel ashamed, worthless, or critical about yourself or how you are showing up in the world.

  • Are overwhelmed by the pressure to keep up, do things perfectly, or have lost your motivation and drive.

  • Are struggling with time management, focus, procrastination, and getting things done.

Maybe it feels like you…

Lately you find yourself pulling away from loved ones and isolating more, not responding to texts or calls. Or maybe you’re fighting more frequently with your partner and it feels like you’re never on the same team. Most days end with you either collapsing on the couch ready to zone out in front of a screen or consuming your way into relaxation with your favorite vice of choice.

This is not the vision of life you imagined
for yourself.

Therapy for Anxiety & Depression can help you take back control.

Imagine a life where you feel less hijacked by your emotions, where you can decisively take action towards your overall health and wellness, and are intentional about the things you say and do. Imagine going through your day with more presence, calm, and trust in yourself and your ability to navigate the ups and downs without depression or anxiety taking over.

What else could be possible with a renewed sense of purpose and space to focus on the things that matter most to you?

How therapy for Anxiety & Depression works.

My approach is grounded in helping you identify and understand your emotions and responses, so you can learn to work on behalf
of yourself both internally and externally.

  • First we’ll focus on understanding what anxiety really means and identifying the moments and ways it starts to automatically pop up for you.

Then we’ll make space to go deeper and explore what else could be underneath the anxiety and practice how to work with it in the moment so it no longer hijacks your system.

  • We’ll start by identifying and understanding the ways depression impacts you specifically and the different parts of your life.

Then we’ll go below the surface to understand the deeper roots of depression, giving us opportunities to re-author any limiting or harmful beliefs that could be holding you back.

In both cases…

The goal is to help you learn to be with your experiences in new ways and practice doing so in a relationship that maintains connection and attunement despite overwhelming or scary emotions, allowing for a de-shaming and emotionally regulating process to naturally occur. This is a highly collaborative and action oriented experience that goes deeper than just talking about the problems.

While the hardest part might be slowing down or practicing patience with yourself, I will be your guide every step of the way through.

Some people also find a combination of psychotherapy and medication to be helpful in managing symptoms of anxiety or depression. I’m happy to provide referrals to prescribing practitioners if that is something you’re interested in or collaborate with someone you may already be seeing for medication management.
