You Keep Pushing Through. But When Was the Last Time You Felt Excited About Your Day?
Most people wouldn’t guess how much you’re struggling with anxiety or depression. Life in NYC is stressful enough, sometimes it’s hard to tell when you might be dealing with something more. You’ve mastered the art of holding it together by staying busy, showing up, and pretending you’re fine. But lately, it’s getting harder to keep up the facade.
You can’t stop thinking about the never ending to-do list or stressing about what’s next. Or maybe it’s the opposite; everything feels kind of ‘blah’, and you’re unmotivated to get anything done. Going to the gym feels like a chore, texts or emails are piling up, and you’re more on edge, which only causes more arguments with your partner.
By the end of the day, all you want to do is zone out in front of a screen or numb out in any way you can. When anxiety or depression take hold, even the simplest things feel exhausting. But therapy for anxiety and depression can help.
Maybe it feels like you…
Have a constant train of thoughts in your head.
Second-guessing or struggle to trust yourself.
Worry about what other people think about you.
Feel ashamed, worthless, or highly self-critical.
Are falling behind or have lost your motivation and drive.
Struggle with time management, focus, and getting things done.
Imagine a life where …
You intentionally take action towards your ideal future, feeling engaged and energized by the things you do. Going through your days with more presence, peace, and trust in yourself and your ability to navigate the ups and downs without depression or anxiety taking over.
Therapy for anxiety and depression can help you take back control.
How Therapy for Anxiety & Depression works.
My approach is grounded in helping you identify and understand your emotions and reactions, so you can show up differently.
-
First we’ll focus on understanding where anxiety comes from and identifying the ways it starts to automatically pop up and take over.
Then we’ll make space to go deeper and explore what else could be underneath the anxiety. In the process you’ll learn tools to help you work with anxious thoughts or feelings in the moment so they no longer hijack your system.
-
We’ll start by identifying and understanding the ways depression impacts you specifically.
Then we’ll go below the surface to understand the deeper roots of depression and what might have caused it in the first place. This gives us opportunities to re-author any limiting or harmful beliefs that could be holding you back.
The goal is to help you learn practical tools and techniques that will change your experience. By practicing sitting with overwhelming or difficult emotions in the moment, with the help of a supportive guide, you allow for a de-shaming and emotionally regulating process to naturally occur.
This is a highly collaborative and action oriented experience that goes deeper than just talking about the problems. And I will be your guide every step of the way through.

There are many forms of treatment that can be helpful for depression and anxiety. My approach is holistic and integrative, primarily utilizing experiential models such as AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy), IFS, Somatic and Mindfulness therapies, combined with various evidenced based practices like CBT, DBT, ACT and more.
Some people also find a combination of psychotherapy and medication to be helpful in managing symptoms of anxiety or depression. I’m happy to provide referrals to prescribing practitioners if that is something you’re interested in or collaborate with someone you may already be seeing for medication management.
