Self-Confidence

All of New York, and California
Does it feel like you’re always one step behind, comparing yourself to everyone else and doubting your own worth?
You’ve checked all the right boxes: a good job, solid education, meaningful relationships. On paper, things look fine.
But inside? You’re stuck in performance mode, constantly trying to seem confident while quietly questioning if you’re even doing life “right.” That nagging voice says you should be further along by now and that something must be wrong with you for still feeling this uncertain.
Every goal feels like a moving target. And you’re stuck on a hamster wheel of improving, achieving, and keeping up. Whether it’s trying to love your body, parent better, get a promotion, or plan the next big life milestone… it never feels like enough. And the minute you do hit a win, it’s on to the next.
You’re exhausted and burnt out from always proving, performing, and pretending you're fine. While constantly looking for some outside validation to tell you you’re doing okay. Meanwhile, your relationships feel distant, either because you're scared to open up, or when you do, you're met with blank stares or brushed off.
If self-confidence issues are holding you back, therapy can help. Whether you’re based in NYC or working remotely, self-confidence therapy offers a space to stop performing and start truly believing in yourself—and finally begin prioritizing your own needs.
Maybe you experience this as…
Problems with indecision, commitment, or self-trust.
Fears of rejection or judgment that hold you back.
Avoiding conflict or not speaking up for your needs.
Constantly criticizing yourself or dismissing praise and compliments.
Under-earning or feeling financially insecure (despite what the numbers show).
Not making time for things like self-care, hobbies, or social life because you’re always working.
Imagine a life where…
You feel secure about your worth and value, feel comfortable being your true self, and feel confident asking for what you deserve. Imagine taking more healthy risks outside of your comfort zone while celebrating your successes and savoring more of the good.
Therapy for Self-Confidence can help you take charge of your life.
How Therapy for Self-Confidence Works.
My approach focuses on helping you become aware of your thoughts, feelings, and actions so you can learn to navigate the ups and downs more intentionally.
We’ll do this by looking under the surface to see where your self-confidence or self-esteem issues may have taken root and work to heal any past traumas that could be interfering in the now. Working together, you will practice new ways of being with yourself to strengthen compassion, patience, and trust, all while re-authoring the way you see and feel about yourself.
This is a highly collaborative and action-oriented experience that goes deeper than just talking about the problems. While the hardest part might be slowing down and making space to feel any painful emotions trapped in your body or learning to see and own your strengths in new ways, I will be your guide every step of the way.

FAQs
Frequently asked questions
-
Self-esteem and self-confidence are often used interchangeably though they have slight differences. Self-confidence describes the way you feel about your capabilities and skills, while self-esteem describes the way you feel about and value yourself as a person. Having good self-confidence means you feel more in control of your life, which as a by-product can help enhance your self-esteem.

Some signs of low self-confidence or low self-esteem can be:
Believing life is always out of your control and you’ll never be able to achieve your goals.
Feeling worthless or like you have to prove your value through action.
Feeling like a failure or like you’re never good enough.
Constantly criticizing yourself and the things you do for not being perfect.
Not speaking up for yourself, asking for a raise, or using your voice to share your ideas and feelings.
Letting yourself be treated poorly in relationships.
Not applying for a job because you don’t hit all the criteria.
-
Yes it certainly can!
My approach to working on self-confidence issues is intertwined with also addressing any underlying issues of low self-esteem or self-worth. By learning to trust your ability to handle things in life and take charge of how you respond, you can start to build more faith and belief in who you are overall.
My goal is to help you know your value and worth no matter what success or accomplishments you achieve. And believe in your ability to act on your behalf.
